The HRC Showcase Theatre Playwriting Contest
The 2024 HRC season will run from May through September. Judges will select four winners, each of whom will be awarded $100, and whose plays will be given staged readings over the course of the season. To qualify for the prizes, each playwright must attend the reading of his/her play. Overnight accommodations will be provided as needed. There is a $10.00 processing fee for each play submitted. Entries must be received between June 1, 2023 and September 1, 2023. The winners will be notified in January, 2024. How to submit:Only electronic submissions will be accepted. PDF format preferred. In your e-mail message, please let us know where you heard about the contest. There should be two attachments:
- The play itself and a synopsis approximately a page in length. In order to ensure a blind reading, remove all identifying and contact information from this attachment.
- Name of the play and playwright, contact information and biography.
